Hi, I’m N’Kayah (Yaya) Kersey - a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, reader, and lifelong learner.

Although I study human behavior for a living, more than anything, I’m learning what it means to live with awareness, discipline, and care. This is a space to give language to the things I’m learning… a way to slow down, reflect, and make sense of what it means to become better, not just busier.

Over the years, I’ve worked with youth, leaders, and organizations to make behavior science practical and human, not just data-driven, but heart-driven. I’m intrigued by the small, often unseen choices that influence how we show up in life, love, and leadership. Those subtle moments, where awareness meets action, are where real growth happens.

This space exists to explore those ideas, how awareness turns into change, and how intentional living can become a way of being. My goal isn’t to teach perfection, but to create conversation around becoming more consistent, curious, and grounded.

Currently exploring: behavioral leadership · daily discipline · identity after achievement · the psychology of growth

NOUN appears across cultures - from the Greek for ‘wise woman’ to African and Caribbean roots meaning ‘nurturer’ and ‘one who brings joy.’ across them all, the thread is the same: care, wisdom, and growth through love.
